ABOUT US

An official Varsan said "Our firm was established in 1980 in Küçükçekmece, İstanbul.Until 1990 it offered variable transformers (Variac). Reosta, Centrifugal Gold mould machines,Serve automatic regulators from 1 KVA to 750 KVA, Troid transformers and various products to Turkish industry.

But, 1990 we stopped these productions except variable transformers (Variac) in order to achieve world quality and we directed to produce according to keeps world standards inside our new factory build on a 3.000 m square covered area. Our products are produced by band methods and transformers from 0,5 KVA to 15 KVA H18 and M5 silica metal sheet

Besides assuring plentiful availability of standart spare parts; also you can use repair and maintenance services.

We can also produce every kind of variable transformers and special propose production on order.



WORKING PRINCIPLE OF THE VARIACS

Description: (VARIAC – Variable Transformer)

The variacs can run with only specific section of primary winding or completely of winding, same like secondary winding. Also it works in same magnetic influences.

Structure : There are two windings (primary and secondary) in the traditional transformers. But in the variable transformers there are only single winding, it works like primary and secondary winding. With this single winding lost of the reactances get minimize.

The variacs can use like a potentiometers.



TECHNICAL CALCULATION

For Example;
S = 10A x 220V
S = 2200 VA
S = 2,2 KVA
*** Please do not pass over determined maximum variac output current even if changes of variac output voltage, because of the variacs winding with single and fixed dimension copper.

SINGLE PHASE BOX TYPE VARIABLE TRANSFORMERS (BOX TYPE VARIAC)


Installation Guide for the Single Phase Box Type Variacs

If the input is with plug; Please turn variable knob to zero. Close the fuse and than connect the plug to electric line. Open the fuse and than slowly turn the variable button for increase to output power.

If the input is with terminals; Please turn variable knob to zero. Close the fuse and than connect the product to electric line with suitable cable. Open the fuse and than slowly turn the variable knob for increase to output power.

For shut down the product; Please turn variable knob to zero and than close to fuse.

ATTENTION: Please turn the variable button to zero before open the fuse.



THREE PHASE BOX TYPE VARIABLE TRANSFORMERS (BOX TYPE VARIAC)


Installation Guide for the Three Phase Box Type Variacs

Input; Connect variac input phase terminals to matched each phase line. And than connect variac input neutral terminal to neutral line. Please always use suitable cables during connecting.

Output; Connect variac output phase terminals to matched each phase in your system. Neutral is common (will use for input and output). Please turn variable wheel to zero. Open to fuses and than slowly turn to variable wheel for increase to output power.

For shut down the product; Please turn variable button to zero and than close to fuses.

ATTENTION: Please turn the variable wheel to zero before open the fuses.



ISSUES TO CONSIDER BEFORE USE

  • Never touch to variac while electricity.
  • Do not remove variac components without qualified technicians.
  • Get contact with the manufacturer if are there any fault.
  • Do not use the rover tip as inlet.
  • Always use a dry swab during clean to variacs.
  • Do not use chemicals for cleaning the variac.
  • Use variac in the recommended voltages.
  • Installation must be done by qualified technicians with electrical knowledge.
  • For protect to variac, use fuse protection on variac input.
  • Environmental humidity where variac is located shouldn't be higher than 80%
  • Keep away the variac from water, dust or other similar environmental factors.


USER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

After shut down the product;
Remove the product covers.
Clean dusts with compressed air.
Clean to carbon brush contact areas on variac surface with fine sandpaper.
Check up all the screws and nuts against loosening.
